The train station was just a few minutes from the cable car, and soon a bright red train ap- proached. It was one of the inge- nious Swiss cogwheel trains that sturdily travel the mountain routes. This one took us on a one hour ascent. Passengers' eyes were glued to the windows all the way. Alongside the train route were dense trees and wooded paths. We saw people strolling, some with walking sticks.
