Barbara Nusbaum was elected
president of JARC at the organi-
zation's 25th annual meeting and
election of officers.
Also elected were vice presi-
dents, I. William Cohen, Nancy
Grosfeld and H. James Zack; sec-
retary, Ellen Labes; treasurer,
Rob Kaplow.
Nominated for an additional
three-year term were Natalie
Charach, I. William Cohen, San-
dra Dembs, Debbie Fishman,
Nancy Grosfeld and David R. Vic-
tor. Nominated for a first three-
year term were Nora Barron,
Sondra Berlin, Gary L. Gilbert,
Dayna Glantz, Edward Hersch,
nancy Jacobson, Stephanie Ja-
cobson, Dr. Marty Levinson, Dr.
Jay Richman and Steven
Schanes.
Mrs. Nusbaum served previ-
ously as JARC vice president and
twice as fund-raiser chairman.
She is an executive board mem-
ber of Resettlement Service and
a member of the Sinai Health
Care Foundation. Mrs. Nusbaum
also serves on the advisory com-
mittees of Jewish Experiences for
Families and Jewish Information
Service, and on the board of Bar-
Ilan University. Mrs. Nusbaum
and her husband Irving were
chairmen of the Israel Indepen-
dence Day celebraiton for the past
two years. Mrs. Nusbaum re-
ceived the Heart of Gold award
from United Way of Southeast-
ern Michigan in 1992 for service
to the community.
