the 144th annual meeting of the
congregation. A graduate of the
University of Michigan Law
School, Mr. Kamins is a partner
at Honigman Miller Schwartz
and Cohn where he heads the
public finance department and
practices corporate, securities and
appellate law. A past vice chair-
man of a committee of the
National Association of Bond
Lawyers, Mr. Kamins is a fre-
quent national lecturer on legal
issues. He also is immediate past
chairperson of the Public Corpo-
ration Law Section of the Michi-
gan State Bar.
Active at Temple Beth El
for more than 15 years, John
Kamins has served as a member
of its board of trustees, treasurer,
second and first vice president
and chair or co-chair of the Ways
and Means, Personnel and Asso-
