Temple Beth El
Married Group

Janelle McCammon and Ray-
mond Rosenfeld have been elect-
ed presidents of the Temple Beth
El Married Group for 1994-95.
The couple have been a temple
volunteer team since 1986. To-
gether, they have served on the
temple's membership, nursery
school religious school, worship
and ritual and outreach commit-
tees. Individually, Raymond and
Janelle belong to the temple sis-
terhood and brotherhood respec-
tively.
Raymond is a member of the
temple board of trustees and
Janelle is co-chair of the Loren B.
Fischer Cultual Arts Series.
Janelle continues to be the coor-
dinator of the Temple's Shabbat
babysitting program, having been
its chair since its inception six
years ago.
Raymond is a professor of po-
litical science and director of the
graduate 1program in public ad-
ministration at Eastern Univer-
sity; Janelle is manager,
corporate communicaitons at Mo-
tors Insurance Corporation, a
subsidiary of General Motors.
Also serving this year will be
Debra and Martin Darvick and
Sandy and Rick Heller, social vice
presidents; Elaine and Mark
Schonberger, fund-raising vice
presidents; Alene and Jeffrey Lip-
shaw, treasurers; and Connie and
Guido Aidenbaum, Ann and
David Feinstein, Carole and
Howard Goldsmith, Joan and
Paul Halpern, Sandy and Chuck
Jacobowitz, Carol and Bruce Plis-
ner, Gail and Ken Posner, Cathy
and Mark Segel, Irene and Rick
Sobel and Wendy and Marc Zup-
more, board of directors.

July 1 is the deadline for nomi-
naitons for the seventh annual
Berman Award for Outstanding
Professional Service.
Created by Mandell L. and
Madeleine H. Berman, the award
will go to a Jewish communal
professional employed by the
Jewish Federation of Metropoli-
tan Detroit or one of its agencies.
Nominees for the Berman
Award must have worked in the
Detroit Jewish community a min-
imum of five years. They must
have demonstrated the highest
professional standards in their
chosen field, made a contribution
to the general good of the Jewish
community and demonstrated
leadership and innovaiton in the
profession.
