CHAMBER ENSEMBLE
The Lyric Chamber Ensem-
ble's "Adopt a Young Musician"
event will be held 3:30 p.m. June
26 at the home of Ara and Gin-
ny Berberian. This event pro-
vides scholarships for young
students to study at summer
camp taught by local musicians.
Fedora Horowitz is the artis-
tic director. Some of the board of
directors include: Alice Gilbert,
Sylvia Feldman, Marilyn
Habsburg, Barbara Kratch-
man, Matilda Rubin, Morley
Wasserman, Sondra Berlin

Marlene and Paul Borman
recently held a brunch in their
home for the annual meeting of
the Jewish Historical Society.
Judy Cantor is the newly elect-
ed president. Gilbert Borman,
past president, gave the annual
report. He and Naum Levine,
representing the Detroit Russ-
ian Jewish War Veterans, pre-
sented Irwin Shaw with a
Russian commemorative medal.

ly gathered at the home of Hen-
ry and Mala Dorfman to honor
Paula Glazier, who received the
Tree of Life Award from Israel
Bonds. The event was co-spon-
sored by Women's American
ORT and Women's Division,
State of Israel Bonds. Mrs.
Glazier's daughters, Dana and
Mindy, gave a humorous and
sentimental tribute to their
