Metro Cash and Carry, a lead-

the United States, plans to in-
vest $8 million in the estab-
lishment of two branches in
Israel.
The company, which was
founded 26 years ago, supplies
products to the business sector,
grocery shops, offices, factories,
institutions and companies en-

gaged in the tourism sector.
The Israel franchise is joint-
ly owned by Metro Cash and
Carry South Africa and Koor
Industries. The company's first
branch in Israel will open at the
end of the month at an invest-
ment of $6 million in Haifa
Port. In August, the company
plans to open its second branch
in Ramat Gan at an invest-
ment of $2 million.
