Bikur Cholim
Holds Meeting

Ahavas Chesed Bikur Cholim
will old a general membership
meeting 8:15 p.m. June 28 at
Congregation Shomrey Eunah in
Southfield. The meeting will fea-
ture an address by Dr. Hillel
Rosenfeld, a certified social work-
er who is administrator of the
North Oakland Child Adoles-
cence Clinic and adjunct profes-
sor at Wayne State University.
He will speak on "Jewish Spiri-
tuality and Healing." Refresh-
ments will be served and the
community is welcome.
Also on the agenda for the
evening will be the installation of
new officers. Mrs. Peggy Letvin
will be installed as the new pres-
ident.
Ahavas Chesed Bikur Cholim
was recently honored as the vol-
unteer group of the year by the
Jewish Home for Aged.
The organization's volunteers
go to other nursing homes as
well. Special gifts and foods are
brought for the Jewish holidays.
Furthermore, a kosher pantry
has been established, under the
organizaiton's auspices, at the
Providence Hospital Emergency
Room.

Lee Hendler
Will Speak

Intergeneratinal philanthropy
specialist Lee Meyerhoff Hendler
will share her expertise with two
Jewish Federaiton affiliates when
she arrives in Detroit June 28.
At noon, Mrs. Hendler will ad-
dress a luncheon program spon-
sored by the Women's
Endowment Committee of the
United Jewish Foundation, in co-
operation with Federation's
Women's Diviison and Business
and Professional Women. The
luncheon will take place in the
home of Women's Division Pres-
ident Penny Blumenstein.
Mrs. Hendler also will speak
at the UJF annual meeting and
reception at 4 p.m. in the Max M.
Fisher Building.
