"Great Family Summer Adven-
tures." Marty Kohn, entertain-
ment writer for the Detroit Free
Press, will share advice on how
to make the most of family ad-
ventures. This program for adults
will meet June 29 at 7:30 pm.
There will be a reception for new-
comers to the Detroit area at 7
pm. There is a fee.
"You Gotta Have Art!" is a par-
ent-child workshop for mom or
dad and your 3-5 year-old child
with instructor Carol Rock. Wear
appropriate clothes and bring
smocks for you and your child on
Wednesdays, July 6-Aug. 10,
6:45-7:30 pm. There is a fee.
"Storytelling Under the Trees"
is a story time for children ages
3-5, Thursdays, July 7-28, 3:30-
4:30 p.mJ There is a fee.
"Artifacts" with Carol Rock, is
a chance to create Jewish family
treasures in this ceramics class
for adults. Children ages 3 and
older are welcome to come along
on Thrsdays, July 7-Aug. 11,
6:30-8 pm. There is a fee.
Classes are held at the Apple-
baum Jewish Parenting Center,

Health, Needs
Support Group

Sinai Senior Assessment Clinic
and Allen Home Health Care will
offer a support group for adult
children of aging parents. The
support group is designed for in-
dividuals experiencing the pres-
sures of dealing with their
parent's declining health and
their own children's needs. Dis-
cussions will cover many issues
that all families face and will help
in providing practical options.
Meetings will begin June 28
from 6 to 7:30 pm in the Sinai
Hechtman Health Center, 31500
Telegraph. The group will be fa-
cilitated by Elaine Friedman.
