Goren and Lawrence Levine,
have recently achieved recogni-
tion for their work. Dr. Goren, a
clinical psychologist in Farm-
ington Hills, is the author of
Traveling To-
ward the Heart,
published by
Ridgeway Press
in Roseville. Dr.
Levine, a pro-
fessor emeritus
of biological sci-
ences at Wayne
State Universi-
ty, has been
awarded first
prize in the
John Clare Po-
etry Competi-
tion, sponsored
by the Academy
of American Po-
ets, for his poem
"Imminence on
Sunday."
Dr. Levine
also is the au-
thor of many literary and scien-
tific journal articles.

The fourth annual golf outing
will take place June 20 at Bogie
Lake Golf Club. Some of the

Janet and Stephen Lemons
of Bloomfield Hills, will attend
the United States Air Force
Academy in the fall on an edu-
cational schol-
arship valued at
$250,000. He
graduated from
Andover High
School as an
academic schol-
ar and was a
member of the
marching band,
cross-country
and track
teams.
"The applica-
tion process for
the scholarship
was quite ex-
tensive," said
Mrs. Lemons.
Not only did Ja-
son have to Jason Lemons
qualify academ-
ically, athleti-
cally and physically, he had to
receive a nomination from his
congressman.
"I believe that Jason has the
potential, the desire and the
skills to succeed. It was my hon-
or to nominate him and I wish
Jason well in his career at the
Academy," said Congressman
Joe Knollenberg of the 11th
District. Mr. Knollenberg also
mentioned Jason's academic and
athletic excellence.
Jason plans on majoring in po-
litical science or international af-
fairs. "I would like to work in the
Pentagon or with other coun-
tries," he said.

Judith Goren

Art Birmingham '94 will take
place June 18-19 in the Birm-
ingham Theatre parking lot. The
two-day event will feature many
local and national artists.
The Stage & Co. will feature
informal modeling every Thurs-
day in the summer beginning
June 30.
Fashion designer Lane Davis
will be present at a trunk show-
ing at Roz & Sherm June 23-25.
Her clients are many Hollywood
celebrities.
