Temple Israel
Plans Expansion
On June 22, from 6-8 p.m., Tem-
ple Israel will hold a ground-
breaking ceremony to mark the
beginning of its new expansion.
The new construction has been
made possible through the gen-
erous support of Dr. Nancy and
Alberto Hodari, Max and Michele
Dubrinsky, and the Max and
Edith Weinberg Family Founda-
tion.
The expansion will include the
Hodari Family Children's Library
and Media Center, a state-of-the-
art center of Jewish learning, ed-
ucation, and communication. In
addition, an adult seminar cen-
ter, four children's classrooms,
and a mikvah will be built. The
classrooms will be used to serve
the congregation's current adult
and children's school population.
The mikvah will be available for
use by the entire Jewish corn-
munity
In addition to the actual
ground breaking ceremony, there
will be a picnic supper, children's
activities, Jewish music and sto-
rytelling. Temple Israel families
will inscribe their names in a
scroll which will be placed in the
new cornerstone. Temple Israel
children will have the opportu-
nity to leave their signed hand-
print in a new section of sidewalk ;
