orthwest Child Rescue
League recently held an
honors day breakfast at
the home of Carole Kaf-
tan. Mrs. Kaftan read a de-
lightful poem thanking the
members for their fund-raising
efforts which support programs
at the Jewish Community Cen-
ter for the mentally impaired.
The group presented Leanie
Gunsberg, director of special ed-
ucation programs at the JCC,
with a check for $10,000. Some
of the NWCR members included:
Rhoda Paull, Shirley Halprin,
Marilyn Rubin, Mari Kaftan
and Beverly Gordon.
After breakfast, most of the
women went on the first Tem-
ple Israel home tour. Some of
the home tour organizers in-
cluded: Barbara Ben, Bar-
bara Gutman, Hermaine
Raimi and Sue Erlich.

ian feast June 11 as part of the
Musical Feasts WI, an annu-
al fund-raiser for the Detroit
Symphony Orchestra Hall Vol-
unteer Council.
A May 15 program was held
at the home of Dr. and Mrs.
Nahil Boutros with pianist Peter Max
Ramzi Yassa. Some of the
guests included: Mark Volpe, 1994 Detroit International Free-
Maury Okun, Leo and Lorna dom Festival, with the fireworks
Wessinger, Vladislav and Ira scheduled on the Detroit River
Podalsky, Mary and Wanda for June 29.
