At their recent 32nd annual in-
stallation of officers, the Glen-
nwood Chapter of Women's
American ORT installed the fol-

President Rosalyn Liner with a
testimonial dinner 6:30 p.m. June

Installation

The sisterhood of Congregation
Beth Shalom will install officers
at 11:30 a.m. June 9 at the syna-
gogue.
Officers to be installed are: pre-

Phonathons
Seek Volunteers

Volunteers are welcome to par-
ticipate in phonathons for Days
of Decision, the Jewish Federa-
tion special appeal on behalf of
the 1994 Allied Jewish Cam-
Paign.
Beginning June 5 and running
through June 9, Days of Decision
will attempt to reach everyone in
the community who has not yet
made a pledge to the Campaign,
which funds more than 60 ben-
eficiary agencies.
Volunteers can make calls into
the community asking for
pledges, write thank yous, pre-
pare statements, tabulate pledges
and sort cards among other cler-
ical tasks. Hours are 9 a.m.-1
p.m. Sunday, and 6-9 p.m. Mon-
day through Thursday. Phona-
thons will be held in the Max M.
Fish er Building, 6735 Telegraph,
Bloomfield Hills.
Individuals, groups and orga-
nizations are welcome. To vol-
unteer or for information, call

Shapiro Post
Plans Meeting

The next meeting of the Charles
Shapiro Post, Jewish War Vet-
erans will be held 9 a.m. June 5
at the Memorial Home.
It will be a breakfast meeting
and the agenda will include meet-
ing new officers and the upcom-
ing State Convention.

Brunch Set

For NCSY

Stephen and Chayala Levitz will
host a garden champagne brunch
at their home, 21540 Potomac,
Southfield, at 10 a.m. June 12.
The event will benefit the Na-
tional Conference of Synagogue
Youth (NCSY).
The establishment of the Mil-
dred Levitz Torah Retreat Fund
will be announced at the brunch.
