GUIDES FOR
ART EXHIBIT

Adult volunteers are needed to staff
and guide youngsters ages 6 to 12
through the one-of-a-kind traveling
art studio known as Kaleidoscope.
Its temporary yellow, castle-like struc-
ture will be built at the Sugar Tree
Shopping Center, Orchard Lake
Road north of Maple Road in West
Bloomfield. It will open to the public
July 19-26.
Youngsters who visit Kaleidoscope
will spend one hour discovering and
creating art. Free tickets to enter will
be available on a first come first
served basis at the entrance to the
Kaleidoscope tent one-half hour pri-
or to each session.
The sessions are scheduled
weekdays afternoons, July 19-22, 25,
26 at 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.; and
on the weekends, July 23, 24, at noon,
1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m.

Zehnder's of Frankenmuth will host
the Zehndees Art Fair June 18-19. Ac-
tivities will take place along Main
Street and in Heileman Park in down-
town Frankenmuth.
The fair will include an artists'
market, children's activities and
street performers. There will be a Eu-
ropean band organ rally, carriage
rides, craft demonstrations and
strolling storybook characters.
The centerpiece of the park will
be a 50-ton sandsculpture of a fairy
tale castle. Local community groups
and children's museums will provide
children's activities including face
painting, candle dripping, sponge
painting. The Flint Children's muse-
um will unveil their new file maze im-
ported from Wales. Each activity will
have a small charge with proceeds
going to the sponsoring organization.

of a room; when the temperature
