Sets Installation

Adat Shalom Synagogue families
will gather at 6 p.m. June 3 for a
Kabbalat Shabbat Service, din-
ner and installation of officers
and members of the synagogue's
1994-95 board of trustees. Sharon
Hart will become the congrega-
tion's new president.
Mrs. Hart has had many years
of leadershp involvement at Adat
Shalom, as well as being an ac-
tive community leader. She is a
former president of the Michigan
Region, Women's American ORT;
American Women for Bar-Ilan
University; and the Women's Di-
vision, Jewish Federation of Met-
ropolitan Detroit. She has
received the Sylvia Simon Green-
berg Young Leadership Award of
JFMD.
Serving with Ms. Hart will be
first vice president, Jack Rubin;
vice president, Sidney Feldman;
recording secretary, Terran
Leemis; treasurer, Beverly Liss.
Beginning the second year of
a three-year-term are executive
committee members-at-large:
Paul Magy, Betsy Winkelman
and Larry Wolfe. Newly elected
additions to the board of trustees
are Ronald Charfoos, Carol Wein-
traub Fogel and David Schostak.
The incoming Adat Shalom
Memorial Park board of trustees,
to serve a three-year-term, are
Melvyn Foster, Richard Ketchel,
Donald Scharg and Ralph
Woronoff.

Birth Rituals
Are Discussed

Rabbi Elliot Pachter of Congre-
gation B'nai Moshe will lead a
discussion of birth and naming
rituals for Jewish sons and
daughters and strategies on rais-
ing Jewish children in the 90s at
the synagogue June 12 at 10:30
a.m.
