Civic Theatre
Plans Season

The 1994/95 season will celebrate
Ann Arbor Civic Theatre's 65th
anniversary with a selection of
shows that offers something for
everyone.
MainStage Productions will
kick off the season with Ira
Levin's Deathtrap, Sept. 7-10,
blending devilish comedy and
gasp-including thrills.
Theatergoers can enjoy the
songs of Richard Rodgers and Os-
car Hammerstein II when Civic
theatre presents South Pacific,
Oct. 26-29.
August Wilson's Pulitzer Prize-
winning drama The Piano Les-
son will be performed Jan. 11-14.
William Gibson's The Miracle
Worker is the dramatization of
Helen Keller's real-life story. It
will run Feb. 22-25.
Everyone's favorite orphan,
Annie, will take center stage May

Macomb Center
Productions

The 30-member ensemble for Ok-
lahoma, to play on May 20, 21, 26,
and 27 at Macomb Center for the
Performing Arts, includes local
performers who have appeared in
many community productions.
Bob Brunner will present "Ex-
ploring the Northwest" at 7:30
p.m. June 9 at Macomb Center
for the Performing Arts. The pro-
gram is one in a series coordi-
nated by Dennis Glen Cooper and
sponsored by Diplomat Travel.
A 60-minute production ofAl-
addin and the Magic Lamp will
be presented by American Fam-
ily Theatre at 10 a.m. and 3:30
p.m. on June 18 at Macomb Cen-
ter for the Performing Arts.

Lecture Series
Ends Season

The Southfield Public Library
will present Russell J. Cameron,
74 year old entrepreneur and
sculptor, May 24 at 7 p.m. in the
Marcotte Room of the library.
Mr. Cameron's presentation
will be "An Open Mind..A Fun-
damental For Creative Think-
ing." This is the final program of
the library's Spring Lecture Se-
ries and it is free.
