vices departments, the day in-
cludes an 11 a.m. exercise class
and a 12:30 p.m. talk on "Healthy
Eating — Healthy lifestyle."
The exercise class will be
taught by Glenda Karribean, the
center's aerobic coordinator. Dar-
lene Zimmerman, a registered di-
etitian and Weight Watchers
nutritionist, will discuss healthy
eating.
Seniors can have blood pres-
sure and cholesterol checks done
by Sinai Hospital staff and enjoy
a heart-healthy kosher chicken
lunch. In addition, they can use
the center's new pool and health
club facilities and consult with
the fitness staff.
A three-month health club
membership will be raffled. For

Greenberg Award
To AL President

American League President Dr.
Bobby Brown will receive the first
Hank Greenberg Memorial
Achievement Award at the fourth
annual Hank Greenberg Memo-
rial Golf & Tennis Invitational.
The invitational will be held
June 6 at Tam O'Shanter Coun-
try Club in West Bloomfield.

annually by the Michigan Jew-
ish Sports Hall of Fame to an in-
dividual whose devotion to the
game of baseball, character, per-

Oak Park Department of Recre-
ation is taking registrations for
its summer learn-to-swim pro-
gram. Three sessions are offered
at the Oak Park High School
pool: June 20-July 8, July 11-29
and Aug. 1-12.
Classes are 40 minutes long
and they run from 9 a.m. to 12:10
p.m. Monday through Friday.
