Rita Abramson
New Director
Rita Abramson has been named
director of education/youth at
Congregation B'nai Moshe in
West Bloomfield. Mrs. Abramson
is a graduate of the United He-
brew Schools and holds a bach-
elor's degree in education from
Wayne State University. She is
pursuing graduate studies in ed-
ucational administration at Oak-
land University.
A native of Detroit, Mrs.
Abramson has been involved in
Jewish education in a variety of
capacities for more than 25 years.
She has taught Judaic and He-
brew studies at various levels and
has organized and conducted
many workshops and teachers-
training classes. She has devel-
oped innovative youth and family
education curricula.
She is the director of the Step-
ping Stones to a Jewish Me pro-
gram. Mrs. Abramson is a
member of the Detroit Jewish Ed-
ucators Council and a presenter
at and member of the Coalition
for the Advancement of Jewish
Education (CAJE).
