Helene White

Judge Helene N. White and Gen-
eral William J. Weinstein will be
honored by the Metropolitan De-
troit Attorneys Division of Israel
Bonds at a dinner 6 p.m. June 8
at Congregation Shaarey Zedek.
Judge White and General Wein-
stein will each be presented with
the prestigious State of Israel
Eleanor Roosevelt Humanities
Award for their notable contri-
butions to the legal profession.
Judge White has sat on the
bench of the Michigan Court of
Appeals since 1993. She served
as a judge at the Wayne Circuit
Court for 10 years at Common
Pleas/36th District Court for two
years.
Judge White also is involved
in a variety of civic affairs. She
serves as board president of the
Coalition on Temporary Shelter
(COTS). She is a member of the
American Jewish Committee's
national executive council, Na-
tional Affairs Commission and
the Civil Rights Subcommittee.
Judge White serves as the pro-
gram committee chair of the
Business and Professional
Women's Division of the Jewish
Federation of Metropolitan De-
troit and is a member of the
Women's Division board.

William Weinstein

al Weinstein has authored arti-
cles published in the Michigan
State Bar Journal and the Amer-
ican Lawyer. He has also lectured
throughout the country on prepa-
ration for and trial of product li-
ability cases.
