Homesick for Santa Fe? Miss the vibrant
colors and vivid ideas? Then take a short
drive to downtown Plymouth to visit 3400
square feet of handcrafted furniture, pot-
tery, weavings by Zapotec Indians, and
sculpture.
When you visit the store in May, you will
be able to meet Alma Loretto Maestas who
will be on site to display and discuss her
pottery. Alma is among the best known
pottery makers in her tribe, the people of
the Jemez Pueblo.
The Smithsonian Museum has her pottery
on display in Washington, D.C., and her
pottery is pictured in virtually every cur-
rent book published on Indian pottery. Call
the. store @ 313-455-8900 for the dates of
Alma's visit. It looks as if Alma will be
here around May 16.
