Families, singles, fraternal and service groups, and congrega- tions from communities all around the state will join the community- wide trip to Israel, which will leave from Detroit Metropolitan Airport and arrive at an air base near Israel's southern resort town of Eilat on the Red Sea. After two days, participants will travel north, stopping at fabulous sites along the way. Mission-goers will stay in five-star hotels, and sightseeing throughout Israel will be in air-conditioned buses. Separate tracks will be available for veteran travelers, as well as first- time visitors to Israel. Dozens of young adults age 25-40 have joined the mission and will have their own buses. In addition to seeing the country from north to south, mission-goers will meet with Israeli government officials, and visit economic incubator sites and absorption centers for many of the 500,000 new immigrants from the former Soviet Union. Robinson, one of the Detroit's active business, civic arid commu- nity leaders, has assumed the presidency of the greater Detroit Interfaith Round Table. Mr. Robinson, chairman and president of Perry Drug Stores, Inc., Michi- gan's largest drug store chain, also serves as the Round Table's Jewish co- chair. He succeeds Barbara Van Dusen, who is the Protestant co-chair. Other co-chairs are Michael J. Berry, an attorney and Muslim co-chair, and Daniel J. Kelly, the Catholic co-chair who is vice chairman of Deloitte and Touche. The Round Table, founded in 1928, works to improve understanding be- tween races and religions. B' nal Moshe Weekend Hosts Dr. Wolfson Congregation B'nai Moshe, in conjunction with the Deutsch Family Speakers Fund, will hold its annual Rabbi Moses Lehrman - Scholar in Residence weekend May 13 -14. This year's featured scholar will be Dr. Ron Wolfson, director of the Shirley and Arthur Whizin Center and Institute for Jewish Family Living at the University of Judaism in Los An- geles. Dr. Wolfson has pioneered several inn.ova- five programs in Jewish family education, in- cluding parenting workshops and an educational tour of Israel for families. He is the author of The Art of Jewish Living, a series of books on the celebration of Jewish holidays in the home. Fridays evening's program will begin with Shabbat services at 6 p.m. and will be followed by dinner. Dr. Wolfson's topic will be "The Shah- bat Seder." Saturday service, at 9 a.m., will be followed by a lunch and learn. Dr. Wolfson's ser- mon and lunch discussion will be "From Anat- evka to West Bloomfield: What's Happening to the Jewish Community?"
