Shabbat Services
for Singles
The Reform and Conservative Congregations of the Metropoli-
tan Detroit area are proud to announce the 1993-94 series of
monthly Shabbat Services for Jewish Singles. If you are a single
Jew in the Detroit community, please join us for Shabbat Ser-
vices. Services begin on Friday evenings at 8:30 p.m. and are
followed by an Oneg Shabbat, featuring a speaker and program.

Laura Berman is a freelance journalist with 17 years of
experience at two of America's largest newspapers. Her
pieces have appeared in many national magazines,
including Redbook, US, Entertainment Weekly, and
Parenting.
For seven years, she was the featured lifestyle columnist at
the Detroit News, where her commentary on political,
personal and social issues won national and state writing
awards. Her column was named the best in Michigan by
the Michigan Press Association and UPI, most recently in
1992. Between 1976 and 1986, she was a feature writer,
Sunday magazine staff writer and columnist at the Detroit
Free Press.

at 10:15 a.m. for the Maple/Drake
building for a docent tour of an
exhibition of "Local Emerging
Artists." Reserve tickets at the
JPM reception desk.
The Sinai Hospital Health

p.m. at JPM. Dr. Marc Feldman
will speak on "Good Communi-

Audiology Department will speak
to the Hearing Loss Support
Group. His topic will be "Dizzi-
ness and Its Relation to Hearing
