tion, will hold its annual in-
stallation luncheon 10:30 a.m.
May 11 at Temple Israel.

Sisterhoods Hold
May Conference
Michigan Branch Women's
League for Conservative Ju-
daism will convene at Congre-
gation B'nai Moshe, for their
annual Spring Conference May
1-2. The conference theme is
"Hear Our Voice."
The agenda for May 1 will in-
clude a presidents' session with
Janet Arnowitz; continental
breakfast; Israel Affairs Work-
shop with Martha Oleinick and
Miriam Fox man; luncheon and
plenum led by Michigan Branch
President Shirley Wine with
election of officers for 1994-
1996.
Two workshops — Member-
ship with Janet Arnowitz; and
"Domestic Violence — 'Jewish
Women, Too?" will be led by Jan
Bartos of Sinai Hospital.
The evening banquet will fea-
ture "Beyond the Year 2000 -
Hear Our Voice" by Ms.
Arnowitz, and the installation
ceremonies.
May 2, will begin with a
women's Shacharit service, led
by Shaarey Zedek Sisterhood;
continental breakfast; Torah
study session with Rabbi Elliot
Pachter of Congregation B'nai
Moshe; social action workshop
"Focus on Action" with Betsy
Winkelman; luncheon and a
Torah fund workshop led by
Florence Gerber. Tom Wexel-
berg-Clouser will represent the
Jewish Theological Seminary.
Conference will close with
Ms. Arnowitz speaking on "A
Look To The Future," plus a
musical program, "Hear Our
Voice," arranged by Sharon Sil-
verman.
