$19.95 Dinner For Two

"The young man in the play
has a terrible childhood and
grows up to be a homicidal
maniac, not what you'd think of
as comedy. The play examines
how much or how little can be
attributed to one's childhood.
"I worked with the director
in Minneapolis before, and she
called and asked me to work
with her again. We will begin
rehearsals in June and go on
sometime past Labor Day."
Broadway Bound will be per-
formed April 21-May 15 at the
Meadow Brook Theatre. Cur-
tain times are 8 p.m. Tuesdays-
Fridays, 6:30 p.m. Sundays and
2 p.m. Wednesdays and Sun-
day, May 8. Saturday times are:
2 and 8 p.m. April 23 and May
14, 6 and 9:30 p.m. April 30, 6
p.m. May 7. For information,
call 377-3300. ❑

Prairie Voice
At The Attic

John Olive's comedy The Voice
of the Prairie will run at the At-
tic's New Center Theatre
through May 1. The play cele-
brates the early days of radio
when barnstorming broadcast-
ers crisscrossed the United
States, beaming blues, banjo
music, hog prices and shaggy
stories to people previously
isolated from home entertain-
ment.
"Talk-back" with the actors
and the director will. follow
every Thursday evening per-
formance. Tickets are available
at the Attic Theatre box office,
875-8284; or the Strand The-
atre box office, 335-8100.
