I've heard about your first Miracle Michigan
to Israel. And now they tell me you are
about to send a second one!

Would you believe it took me 15 years to
get here?

It's not that I loved Russia so much; it's that
my work in the field of applied mathemat-
ics and military aircraft made me a valu-
able commodity. Over and over again, my
wife Ida, son Michael and I were refused
permission to make aliyah. When we lost
our jobs, Ida supported us by giving private
English lessons.

Today, five years after beginning our new
lives as Israelis, we are home. I am working
on a space research project for the Tech-
nion, Israel's Institute of Technology, that
your NASA people find interesting. Ida
works at the Haifa City Library.

We have been truly fortunate to rejoin our
people in Israel. I suppose you could say
we have experienced a miracle of our
own. Come see for yourself!
