COMMUNITY RELATIONS

JEWISH EDUCATION

Coalition building with interfaith and interethnic groups,
linking outstate Jewish communities on issues of common
concern and maintaining a strong Jewish communal voice
in the public arena are functions of our community
relations agencies. Holocaust education and fighting
hunger and homelessness bring the Jewish and general
communities together.

Families can "do Jewish" at community-wide holiday
celebrations and observances, while children and teens study
their heritage and strengthen their identity at Jewish day
schools. Enrichment classes for adults can enhance their
knowledge of Hebrew, Jewish history, Talmud and Bible and
other Jewish subjects. Specialized programs are designed for
interfaith families and people with special needs.
