area debut of two Israeli artists.
Sculptor/ceramicist Lorna
Sakalovsky and painter/pho-
tographer Denise Susman will
exhibit and discuss their ap-.
proaches to art. Admission is
free and refreshments will be
served.

and Marta Mendelson Profes-
sor of American Jewish Histo-
ry at the Jewish Theological
Seminary, where he also serves
as director of the Ratner Cen-
ter for the Study of Conserva-

Irish Life
In 'Dancing'

Brian Friel's Tony award win-
ning play, Dancing At Lugh-
nasa will be playing through
April 17 at the Strand Theatre
in Pontiac. This tells the story
of five unmarried sisters, eking
out their lives in a small village
in Ireland in 1936.
Performances run Thursdays
through Sundays, at the Strand
Theatre, 12 N. Saginaw, Ponti-
ac. Tickets are available at the
Strand Theatre box office, 335-
8100, or the Attic Theatre box
office, 875-8284.
