cept by Sam Locriccio at Arriva
Ristorante, on 12 Mile between
Mound and Van Dyke, is reviv-
ing show business in the local
area.
Arriva's present dinner-show
format has the Gaylords, March
25-26 and April 22-23, plus oth-
er dates; Bob Anderson, March
31-April 2; Larry Santos, April
15; Stan Kenton with the Four
Freshmen, Oct. 3-5.
The Larry Santos Show is a
benefit for the St. Vincent
Sarah Fisher Home . . . It dif-
fers in price $100 per person, in-
cluding dinner, show, drinks,
tax and gratuity . . . All others
are $29.95 per person for din-
ner and show.
Larry has one of the more
recognizable commercial voices
in America . . . Budweiser,
Whirlpool, McDonald's Ford,
Chevy, GMC trucks, all the
major airlines, etc.
He used to sing at the former
Apartment Lounge on Six Mile,
owned by Ray Bresler, Jack and
Lenore Freed . . . Larry left to
star on the Channel 7 TV's "Hot
Fudge" show for children that
also featured Ron Coden and
was produced by Bob Lipson,
who now does Michigan Replay
. . . He has a concern for the
welfare of children.
ANNUAL "STEAKS Fish-
ing Tournament" started by
Chuck Muer and Al Tyrrel dur-
ing a casual chat in the lounge
of the River Crab Restaurant
16 years ago, is April 30 ... Last
year, in Chuck's honor, the tour-
ney raised $100,000 to aid
Michigan's abused and neg-
lected children.
