The debate over public criticism
of the Israeli government's
peace plan will be among the
topics discussed at the Jewish
Community Council's Delegate
. Assembly 7:30 p.m. March 30
at Adat Shalom Synagogue.
Maynard Wishner, president of
the Council of Jewish Federa-
• lions, will be the keynote speak-
er. Moderator Andrew Zack will
encourage questions from the
, audience.
Mr. Wishner is the immedi-
ate past chairman of the Na-
tional Jewish Community
• Relations Advisory Council and
has assumed the presidency of
the Council of Jewish Federa-
tions.
At the Delegate Assembly,
the slate of board of directors
members and officers will be
• announced. The Council's an-
nual election will be held at the
May 18 annual meeting.
The program is free and open
to the public. For reservations,
call the council office, 642-5393.

The Theater is now in its fifth
season of providing the com-
munity with plays on Jewish
themes or by Jewish play-
wrights. Ms. Orbach, who is a
well-known actress, is one of
JET's founders.
She has worked locally in ra-
dio, television and film. A mem-
ber of the Screen Actors Guild,
the American Federation of Ra-
dio and Television Artists and
the Actors' Equity Association,
Ms. Orbach helped organize the
Interfaith Broadcasting Com-
mission and served as its chair-
person.
Food for Thought is a forum
to educate the participants on
important Jewish issues and to
reach out to women not yet in-
volved in Federation's Women's
Division.
Babysitting available for
children ages 21/2 and up.
Registration is at 9:15 a.m.;
the program will begin at 9:45
a.m.
There is a charge for the
event; there will be no solicita-
tion of gifts. Fore reservations

Dance Planned

Young adults are invited to an
evening of dancing, dessert and
fun, sponsored by the Young
Adult Division of the Jewish
Federation of Metropolitan De-
troit 8:45 p.m. April 9 at Knoll-
wood Country Club.
The program, which includes
a cash bar and valet parking, is
open to contributors of $100 or
more to the 1994 Allied Jewish
Campaign, but guests of invi-
tees are not required to meet
the $100 minimum Campaign
gift requirement.
There is a charge for the pro-
gram. For reservations by April
