Since many fam- ilies live rar apart, and many women work full-time, the trend toward celebrating Pass- over at a resort hotel has become a popular alternative. For singles, Passover at a resort can mean new contacts and opportunities to meet new people. This year one can find strictly kosher Passover facilities throughout North America, in grams throughout the holiday period. Among the plays running cur- rently in New York there is Sharon Glaser's Family Secrets, James Sherman's Beau Jest, Sybille Pearson's Unfinished Stories and George Fischoffs Shepherd, a new musical ad- venture about King David. The Hotel Vil- la Strand, in Hornbaek, Den- mark, is Scandinavia's only glatt kosher hostelry. A syna- gogue and mikvah are on the premises. On this continent, to the north, Canada will have two resorts open for Passover — in Quebec, Montreal's Manoir St. Sauveur, and in Ontario, Hal- iburton's Pinestone Resort. The latter will be entirely kosher for Passover, and will offer com- munal and private seders, an indoor pool, along with skiing, snowmobiling, and Torah classes. On the east coast, many Catskill hotels will be open for Passover, among them the Con- cord, the Homowack, and the Nevele. One hotel in this area, the Chalet Vim, promises a Tea Room during Passover that is `Always Open.'
