the FBI, anti-Jewish crimes
were 16.7 percent of the

Police were able to identify
the offenders in less than
two- thirds of the cases re-
ported in 1992. Of the
offenders identified, 64 per-
cent were white and 33 per-
cent were black.
Intimidation was the most
frequently reported hate
crime, followed by destruc-
tion/damage/vandalism of
property, simple assault, ag-
gravated assault and rob-
bery.
Murder, forcible rape,
burglary, larceny-theft, mo-
tor vehicle theft and arson
each accounted for 1 percent
or less of the total. El
