IIS Intelligent Information Sys-
tems, whose shares are traded
in New York, reported its net
profit for the fourth quarter of
1993 plunged 95 percent to
$121,000 from $2.3 million in
the corresponding period in
1992. Earnings per share fell to
$0.01 from $ 0.18. Sales rose
121 percent to $28.2 million
from $12.7 million.
IIS CEO Jacob Herbst said
profits were down due to low-
er than anticipated sales in the
mainframe product range.
In addition, margins were
lower due to a higher amount
of OEM sales and the disposal
of older products from Decision
Data as the company changed
its inventory.
