phony Orchestra
Hall Volunteer
Council recently
presented "Dia-
logue & Duets"
with flutists
Jean-Pierre
Rampal
of
France and Er-
vin Monroe of the DSO. A
luncheon was held at the Ritz-
Carlton Hotel as well as a bene-
factor's evening. The Honorable
Stephen Guittard, honorary
consul of France and his wife,
Madame Helen Guittard
were the luncheon honorary
chairmen. DSOH President
Marjorie Saulson and her
husband Saul hosted the bene-
factor event at their home.
"The home was perfect for

the beautiful evening," said
Madame Guittard. She also
raved about the French
menu from Quality Kosher
Catering.
Barbara Bloch, a lun-
cheon co-chairmen, in-
troduced the nationally
renowned flutist Mr. Ram-
pal. She mentioned that he
is a physician and a flutist,
satisfying both of his
parents' career wishes.
Before both men began
playing, they conversed with
the audience through a
question and answer format.
Some of the music lovers in
the crowd included: Evelyn
Goodman, Thelma
Milgrom, Shirley Levin,
Helene Cherrin, Evelyn
Levine, Merle Solway,
Joyce Blum, Ellen Labes,
Roz Trunsky, Jeanette
Miller and Marilyn Ash.

The fifth annual
Alzhemier's Bowling
Bonanza will be held 11 a.m.

The renovation of a
historical Detroit landmark
will be the inspiration of
Michigan Opera Theatre's
eighth annual Opera Ball to
be held on May 21 at the
Detroit Opera House,
formerly the Grand Circus
Theater. The event is spon-
sored by Ford Motor Com-
pany. Some of the MOT sup-
