evening workshop that explores
the issues of working couples.
"Working Partnership: Dual

The Israel Growth Fund (IGF),
the only open-end, no front- or
back-end load mutual fund fo-
cusing on Israeli companies list-
ed on the Tel Aviv Stock
Exchange or the U.S. equity
markets, has been introduced.
Merrill Weber, president of
Merrill Weber & Co., Inc.,
Chicago; Stewart Flink, presi-
dent ofJMS Asset Management
Inc., Evanston, and Mark
Meiras, managing director of
the Pacific Mediterranean
Group, Tel Aviv, serve as senior
officers and members of the ad-
visory committee of IGF.
To receive investment infor-

The fund managers are ex-
pected to invest up to 35 percent
of the IGF portfolio in public com-
panies listed on the Tel Aviv ex-
change and up to 65 percent in
Israeli companies traded on U.S.
exchanges or NASDAQ markets.
The fund has an option to in-
vest up to 10 percent of its port-
folio in private placements,
venture funds or other nonliq-
uid investments.

Corporate downsizing, reorga-
nization and the new wave of
entrepreneurism have filled the
business pages. However, less
attention has been given to
those who make up the new
workforce.
Fortune Executive Editor Ann
M. Morrison will talk about
these employees in a speech to
the Women's Economic Club
March 16 in the Columbus Ball-
room of the West Hotel.

Career Planning
Programs Slated

The Southfield Public Library
is hosting a two-part series of
free programs on career plan-
ning. They will be held in the li-
brary's Marcotte Room.
"Career Development and
Planning" will be held March
23 and 30, from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Topics include lifelong career
planning assessments used to
clarify values and skills, re-
searching career options at the
library, resume writing and in-
terviewing techniques.
The programs are free, but
registration is required. To sign
