married at the Glen Island
Casino in New York. Rabbis
Shaiall Zachariash and Avra-
ham Jacobowitz of Detroit and
Herschel Portnoy of New York
officiated. The groom's father,
Seymour, also participated in
the ceremony as cantor.
Attending the bride were her
grandparents, Phillip and Es-
ther Stein, and her father, Joel
Ronald Ax. Maid of honor was
Laura Ax, the bride's sister.
Bridesmaids were Amy
Backenheimer, Lauren Aste,
Bella Betesh, Yael Hyman,
Amy Greenstein and Sherri
Greenstein.
The bride is also the daugh-
ter of the late Doris Ax.
The groom's attendants were
his grandparents, Harry and
Sarita Hauptman, and parents,
Seymour and Penny Green-
stein. The best man was Ari
Lerner. Ushers were William
Berlin, Yankie Klahr, Avi
Shatskes, Ezra Kahn, Steven
Richter, and David Zuroff.
After a week of Sheva
Brochos celebrations hosted by
friends and family, the newly-
weds settled in Oak Park.

gogue. Rabbi Efry Spectre, Can-
tor Howard Glantz and the
bride's sister, Cantor Amy Mitz,
officiated.
The bride is the daughter of
Leonard and Beverly Mitz, and
the mother of Aaron Stein. The
groom is the son of the late Mil-
ton E. Goldberg and Jean and
Sam Cascade.
Bonnie Fenton was the ma-
tron of honor; Andrew Gilbert
was the best man and Aaron
Stein was the ring bearer.
David is a certified financial
planner with East West Capi-
tal. Ilene is a mortgage broker
