CO M Milli A R 4 CH , 19 9 Ms. Orbach To Speak For Beth Elders velyn Orbach, artistic di- rector of the Jewish En- semble Theatre (JET), will be the guest speaker at the noon March 15 luncheon of the Tem- ple Beth El Beth Elders. Her topic will be 'The Coming ofAge of the American Jewish The- ater." Ms. Orbach began her theatrical career as a child in her native New York. She is a graduate of the High School of Performing Arts. As director of broadcasting for the Jewish Community Coun- cil of Metropolitan Detroit, Ms. Orbach produced 1,200 programs and received numerous awards including a Gabriel from the Catholic Broadcasters of America for the opera Isaac Levi and a National Association of Television Program Executives Award for The Secret Seder. At JET, Ms. Orbach is actress, director and entrepreneur. This season, she has appeared in Isn't It Romantic? and direct- ed The Price. There is a fee for the March 15 luncheon.
