Creating Lasting Values in a Throw Away World P40-74diae Glass Artist Gives Talk Sein Van Meurs of the Nether- lands, a glass artist, will give a slide presentation March 2 from 1-4 p.m. at the Center for Creative Studies Boughton Au- ditorium, 200 E. Kirby. Ms. Van Meurs holds a spe- cial place in the glass art world because unlike most artists, she uses sheet glass. In forming her pieces, the factors that she is most concerned with are the possibilities and constraints of gravity. Her work varies great- ly in size, ranging from small glass shapes to life-size and larger works. To attend Sein Van Meurs' presentation and demonstra- tions, call 872-3118. Local Artist Mounts Display Henry Friedman will display his metal sculptures, dealing with the Holocaust, at Dearborn High School through March 4. He also will give a series of lectures about the Holocaust.
