Town and Village Synagogue
(620-0535).
Families should visit the
Jewish Museum's Family Ac-
tivity Center's art workshops,
which are related to the muse-
um's exhibits. The workshops
are free with museum admis-
sion.
Children will enjoy the mu-
seum's current show, whose
topic is the Sabbath. Called
`The Best Day Of The Week," it
is a self-guided exhibit for
youngsters from age 5 to 10.
Original Jewish marriage
contracts from different parts
of the world and spanning three
centuries are on display at the
UJA-Federation Gallery (130
E. 59th St.) until March 15.
Dating from 1640, the ketubot
come from Persia, Italy, Colom-
bia, Russia, Turkey, Yemen and
other countries.
"A Woman of Valor/Aishet
Hayil," is an exhibit (at the
Yeshiva University Museum)
based on the 22-line acrostic
poem from the Book of Proverbs,
which speaks of the ideal
woman. The exhibit consists of
works by 35 artists from North
American and Israel. The me-
dia employed are silver, paint-
ing, graphics, wood, metal,
ceramic, fabric, etc.
For accommodation in the
city the Rihga Royal all-suite
hotel has a quiet ambiance,
many guest amenities, and both
a fitness and business center,
which are complimentary. It is
also walking distance from Lin-
coln and Rockefeller centers,
Broadway theaters, museums
and Fifth Avenue.
Another establishment is the
Ritz-Carlton New York. Over-
looking Central Park, it has just
undergone a $22 million reno-
vation. To celebrate this event,
it is offering a Grand Celebra-
tion package, with all sorts of
amenities, which continues
through March 31.
Those going to New York by
car or stopping in the Catskills
should make a detour to the
Mohonk Mountain House, in
New Paltz, N.Y. Celebrating
125 years of hospitality, this na-
tional historic landmark is the
ideal retreat either before, or af-
ter, an exciting stay in the city.
The weekend of March 25-27
the Mohonk Mountain House
is having a Family Festival of
Folk Music, Dancing, Singing
and Storytelling. Hosted by Jay
Ungar and Molly Mason, it
promises as much fun for
adults, as for children.

abundance of operas and con-
certs to choose from at the Lin-
coln Center. The Metropolitan
