Seminary Names Glazior, Harold Cf) LLI (/) LU CC LU 1' - 30 The Detroit Friends of the Jewish Theological Seminary have appointed Paula Glazier and Dr. David Harold as the 1993/4 education chairpersons. Paula Glazier is a member of the board of trustees of Congregation Shaarey Zedek. A past president of Women's American ORT, Michigan Region, she is active in the Women's Division of the Allied Jewish Campaign and Hadassah. Dr. David Harold is chariman of the Profession- al Health Division of the Allied Jewish Campaign. He also has served as the Detroit chairman of the UJA Young. Leadership Cabinet and has led server- al Federation missions to Israel. Dr. Harold is a board member of the Fresh Air Society, the Feder- ation Israel and Overseas Committee and ADL. Two spring programs are being planned. Rabbi Neil Gillman, professor of philosophy at the Jew- ish Theological Seminary, will speak March 9 on "Why Be A Conservative Jew? Lauren and Joel Bruss Lauren and Joel Bruss have been named as chairpeople for a special Detroit Friends of the Seminary mission to New York. Mr. and Mrs. Bruss are active members of the board of De- troit Friends of the Seminary. The group wild epart Detroit March 12 and return March 14. The highlight of the tour will be a visit to the Jewish The- ological Seminary, where participants will have a chance to study in the morning with faculty members. The visit will- include a tour of the Rare Books Room. A special reception with Detroiters studying at the Seminary will be included. Other highlights will include retracing the steps of Jewish settlement of New York from Ellis Island to the Lower East side to Upper East Side, culminating in a guided tour of the newly reopened Jewish Museum.
