Homeowners
Get Help
The Neighborhood Project will
host homeowners at a home im-
provement workshop series be-
ginning Feb. 8 and continuing
through March 15.
The 6:30-9 p.m. program,
which is sponsored by the
Neighborhood Project, NBD
and the city of Southfield, in-
cludes training on plumbing,
weatherization techniques, win-
dows, electrical repair and plas-
tering.
Sponsored by the Jewish
Federation of Metropolitan De-
troit, the Neighborhood Project
aims to enhance the vitality and
growth of the neighborhoods of
Oak Park and Southfield. It
works closely with those mu-
nicipalities and reaches out to
the business community and
other local organizations.
The project, which assists
home buyers in locating in Oak
Park and parts of Southfield,
also encourages residents to re-
main in the community by en-
hancing their houses with
programs such as the home im-
provement seminar.
Registration is required for
the workshop series, which is
open to the public. Space is lim-
ited, and there is no charge. To
register, call the Neighborhood
Project, 967-1112.
