Birmingham
Temple Series

The Birmingham Temple will
host a three- part Monday fo-
rum.
On Feb. 7 at 8:30 p.m., Rab-
bi Wine will present the first of
three discussions on "Great
Jewish Cities."
For the last 2,000 years Jews
have become an overwhelm-
ingly urban people. Jewish his-
tory is tied to the history of
great cities. Not only have Jews
lived in these cities, but helped
create them. Understanding
Jewish history is understand-
ing the Jewish story of these
great cities. Jerusalem will be
the first to be considered.
On Feb. 14 at 8:30 p.m. Rab-
bi Wine will discuss Warsaw,
the most Jewish city in Europe.
and in the world.
On Feb. 21 at 8:30 p.m. Rab-
bi Wine will present a discus-
sion of New York, the largest
Jewish city in the world.
