GORGEOUS GUESTS

trims and luxury fabrics such as lace, chiffon,
silk shantung, georgette, organdy and crepe
take this classic to great lengths — ranging
from short, slim day suits to ankle-length
skirts paired with elegant short-sleeved jack-
ets.
Other versatile versions of the suit lie in
the dress-and-jacket combination, and the
coatdress.
Then there are the dresses — everything
from flattering A-lines, empire waists and two-
piece dresses to slinky columns.
One of the hottest looks this season lies in
the sheer-over-solid layered style that has
light-as-air chiffon floating over a sleek, sim-
ple underdress.
YOUNG ATTENDANTS
The children of the wedding party have all
the luck. Wedding-day attire for flower girls,
ring bearers and junior bridesmaids is among
the most anticipated and applauded.
Traditional designs and classic styling
make for well-dressed little ones during the
ceremony. Later, the same dresses and suits
can turn up at events such as services, recitals
and birthday parties.
Pinafores, overskirts, poufs, petticoats and
extras such as fresh-flower wreaths, hair
bows, patent leather purses and ballet slip-
pers are just a few of the traditional trappings
for the celebrated flower girl.
Her dress might be short or long or of-
tentimes is white and trimmed with sashes
or ribbons in the wedding colors.
Or it might be cut from the same cloth that
the bridesmaids are wearing.
Junior bridesmaids, meanwhile, tradition-
ally turn out in dresses identical to those of
the older attendants — only with lines that
are more darling than daring.
For the ring bearers, a navy blazer paired
with white shorts, bow tie and white or blue
knee socks is a perfect look.
WISE ADVICE

in the loving cup, Whenever you're wrong, ad
mit it; Whenever you're right, shut up." Og-
