Two friends find success writing about romance.
rides-to-be Teri Mathews, Eve Hamel, Ana
Cates and Monique D'Arcy all know a secret.

Greenberg and Karen Katz.

our and mystery — featuring such high-profile charac-
ters as an actress, a super model and a magazine editor

opportunity to join the three other women in a bridal
magazine photo spread.

Greenberg and Ms. Katz's favorite character.

ites of anyone we know," Ms. Greenberg said. "It's tough.

board, so you have to make their actions believable."
They claim aspects of their own marriages — Ms.
Greenberg has been married 13 years, Ms. Katz, 21
