Many couples are combining the wedding and
honeymoon in one complete package. They
jet away to a holiday locale, have the ceremo-
ny and get on with the business of being mar-
ried.
One of the benefits is that you can have a
travel agent handle most of the hassle of wed-
ding plans while you and your fiancee work
on your tans.
Still, nothing beats a traditional ceremony
and reception that end with the new couple
leaving in a car.
Try to keep your honeymoon relatively
stress-free. That means don't overbook your-
selves so that the two of you are running
around trying to catch trains instead of walk-
ing hand-in-hand at sunset.
Likewise, don't plan an ambitious sports
honeymoon of hiking and biking if you and
the new mister are basically sofa spuds. Do
what you usually do at home, but in a far more
exotic locale.
It is also important that you keep within
your budget. There's no point in loading up
massive debt at the beginning of marriage.
You may not have the honeymoon of your
dreams, but if you shop around, you'll prob-
ably find something just as grand for a lot less
cash.
Most important plan your honeymoon to-
gether. Letting one partner make all the
arrangements opens the door to resentment.
Discuss where you want to go, how much you
can spend and what you want to do.
After that has been settled, then begin look-
ing through the travel brochures.
Following are some popular honeymoon
destinations:

CARIBBEAN

* The Sandy Lane Hotel & Golf Club in Bar-
bados provides a "week of bliss" honeymoon
package that includes flowers, champagne
and fruit upon arrival, candlelit dinner served
on the balcony of your ocean-view room and
complementary water-skiing, windsurfing,
snorkeling and sailing. Telephone (800) 225-
5483.
* Cambridge Beaches, Somerset, Bermu-
da, offers a special "Holiday for Honeymoon-
ers" from April through November.
Surrounded by Bermuda's colorful waters and
soft-coral beaches, honeymooners can enjoy
private cottages on the 25-acre estate that of-
fers gourmet meals as well as recreational fa-
