Endowment Aids LZA Hosts
Special Needs
JNF Director

Helen and Sy Indianer have do-
nated funds for the construction
of a specially designed in-
door/outdoor pool for young chil-
dren and persons with special
needs. The pool will be built by
mid-summer '94 in memory of
Samantha Erin Rosen, grand-
daughter of the Indianers.
An endowment for program-
ming has been started by Phyl-
lis Indianer and Alan Rosen,
parents of Samantha, to ensure
quality programming for this
pool. An unrelated donor,
Madelyn Rosen, also has pro-
vided funds toward the creation
of the program endowment.
Anyone wishing to make a
contribution to the Samantha
Erin Rosen Pool Fund should

Torah Center
Lecture, Trip

Rabbi Elimelech Silberberg of
Bais Chabad TorchCenter will
deliver a lecture on the Torah
portion of the week 8:15 p.m.
Jan. 31 at the Torah Center.
The talk will include a discus-
sion on "The Obligations That
Children Have Towards Their
Parents."
Bais Chabad Torah Center
invites the public to join it on its
mission to Israel July 31-Aug.
14. Participants will have an op-
portunity to enjoy guided tours
to religious and historical sites
as well dining at five-star glatt

Activities of the Jewish Na-
tional Fund that affect the en-
vironment will be discussed at
a meeting of the Labor Zionist
Alliance Jan. 30 at 1 p.m. at the
Morris L. Lieberman Hall,
25900 Greenfield Rd., Suite
205E, Oak Park.
The program on "The Year of
the Environment in Israel" will
feature JNF videos on water re-
sources and arid land use. Ed
Rosenthal, director of the De-
troit JNF, will discuss these and
other environmental activities
of the JNF. There will be infor-
mation on Israeli environmen-
tal industries and a report on
Israeli recycling, clean-up and
educational campaigns.

The newly elected officers of
LZA will serve. They are: co-

Joel Waldbott, Mark Philips
and Sandy Gross were elected
to serve on the steering com-
mittee at large.
