he Business and Pro-
fessional Women's
Division of the Federa-
tion recently held a
meeting at Shaarey Zedek
with guest speaker Molly
Resnick. Mrs. Resnick, of
West Bloomfield, spoke on
"Superwoman, Total
Woman and Jewish
Woman."
She grew up in Israel and
was a producer for NBC-TV
for 12 years. She inter-
viewed Israeli Prime
Ministers Begin and
Rabin, Sean Connery,
Henry Kissinger, Bette
Davis and other celebrities.

COLE COLLECTION

A premier gala event to
benefit the renovation fund
of the theater pavilion for St.
Dunstan's Guild of Cran-
brook will be held 7:30 p.m.
Feb. 4 at the Somerset Col-
lection, with dining and
dancing to the sounds of Cole
Porter. Dorie Shwedel is
on the steering committee.
St. Dunstan's Theatre
Guild will present Cole, a
musical celebration of Cole
Porter's life, on Jan. 21, 22,
28 and 29.

Molly Resnick

Her latest project is a video
"Close-ups in Courage,"
about Chasidic women in
America.
More than 120 women
listened to Mrs. Resnick as
she spoke about her former
career, the importance of
Judaism in her life and how
Jewish principles guide her
life. Sisters Judith Her-
man and Aviva Rider were
the event chairmen. Helene
White, Dorie Shwedel,
Susan Moiseev and Bar-
bara Tukel are part the B
& P executive committee.
Some of the professional
women spotted in the crowd
included: Marilyn Gold,
Cynthia Mandelbaum,

Several Detroit dentists par-
ticipated in the recent 86th
annual international con-
vention of the Alpha Omega
dental fraternity in Atlanta.
Some of the participants in-
cluded: Richard Williams,
a past international presi-
dent, John Cohen, Gary
Berman, Ronald Miller,
Steven Miller, Joel
Schaumberg and Marvin
Sonne. Jason Golnick, a
University of Michigan den-
tal student and president of
the Alpha Omega student
chapter, also attended the
meeting. The group had the
opportunity to meet with
Dean Adam Stabholtz of
Hebrew University and
Dean Haim Tal of Tel Aviv
University.
The Detroit chapter is cur-
rently involved in raising
funds to refurbish the
Hadassah dental school at
Hebrew University.
