Hosts Scholar

Rabbi Ephraim Sturm, nation-
al executive vice president, re-
tired, of the National Council of
Young Israel, will serve as
scholar in residence at the
Young Israel of Oak Woods Jan,
22-23.
Rabbi Sturm has served on
the American Jewish scene as
a teacher, administrator, orga-
nizer, philosopher and histori-
an for 45 years. He has been an
active pulpit rabbi, a principal
of Jewish day schools, an orga-
nizer of educational programs
for the National Council of
Young Israel.
On Jan. 22, Rabbi Sturm will
address the lunch and learn on
"Past, Present and Future of
Young Israel Movement — A
Perspective From 45 Years of
Service."
On Jan. 23, Rabbi Sturm
will address a breakfast meet-
ing on "Human Side of Inter-
national Jewish Organizational
Life." On Jan. 23 at 7:30 p.m.,
Rabbi Sturm will deliver the an-
nual Frieda and Max Stoliman
Memorial Lecture on "Prepar-
ing American Jewry for the 21st
Century."
All activities will take place
at Young Israel of Oak-Woods.
