Tecnomatix Buys
Valisys Corp.

Tecnomatix Technologies an-
nounced last week it has signed
an agreement to acquire U.S.-
based software house Valisys
Corporation for $2.3 million in
cash and the assumption of cer-
tain liabilities.
Tecnomatix, a member of the
Oshap Technologies Group, ful-
ly acquired the Santa Clara Cal-
ifornia company from IBM and
FMC Corporation and a num-
ber of other minor shareholders.
Valisys develops and sup-
ports software tools for design,
measurement and quality con-
trol in manufacturing indus-
tries.
The company's products in
the CAPE (computer aided pro-
duction engineering) market are
mainly sold in the heavy indus-
trial sector.
Its customers include Gener-
al Motors, McDonnell Douglas,
Boeing and General Electric,
Tecnomatix said. ❑

at 8 p.m. at the Jimmy Prentis
Morris branch.
Atlantic City Rendezvous by
Paul Cohen is a touching and
humorous play about a Holo-
caust survivor in search of a
man whom she has seen only
once but has not forgotten. It
will be staged Feb. 2 at 8 p.m.
at the JCC in West Bloomfield;
Feb. 3, 8 p.m. at the Oak Park
Center.
Change Of Life is by local
playwright Kitty Dubin. Per-
formaces will be Feb. 9, 8 p.m.
at Maple-Drake; Feb. 10, 8 p.m.
at the Oak Park JCC.
Running Wild by Patricia
Lin is a timely piece about two
Jewish athletes who have qual-
ified but are not allowed to com-
pete in the 1936 Olympics in
Berlin: Feb. 16, 8 p.m. at Maple-
Drake; Feb. 17, 8 p.m. at the
Oak Park JCC.
