Hosts Party

T

he Auxiliary and Benefactors of the Jewish
Home for Aged will host their fifth annual
Millionaires Party to benefit the Jewish el-
derly who reside at Borman Hall, Prentis Manor
and Fleischman Residence/Jewish Home for Aged.
This winter carnival benefit of fun, gaming,
prizes, and grand prize drawing — food entertain-
ment will be held at the Beth Abraham Hillel Moses
Synagogue Feb. 5 at 7:30 p.m. This year's evening
co-chairpersons are Pearlena Bodzin and John
Hamburger.

will address "Tradition and
Harvey Meirovich
Modernity: Conservative Ju-
daism in the World Today."
Ordained by the Jewish Theological Seminary in 1974, Rabbi Meirovich
was awarded his doctorate in 1986. His dissertation analyzed the his-
torical and theological trends found in the Hertz Pentateuch. Rabbi
Meirovich is assistant professor of homiletics and Midrash at the Seminary
of Judaic Studies in Jerusalem. He has served as director of graduate
studies at the Bet Midrash for Russian immigrants training to be com-
munity leaders and for Russian speaking Jews in Israel and in the for-
mer Soviet Union.
