set up a discount tax-prepara-
tion service for a handful of
churches in Detroit.
"Some businesses pay for us
to come in and offer it as an-
other benefit for their emply-
ees," said Mr. Levy. "The
average price for preparing fed-
eral, state and local tax state-
ments is $45 per person. With
all the changes in the tax laws,
we expect our growth to be up
donsiderably."
Typically, Kwik Tax visits
sites where 10 or more people
utilize the service. Mr. Levy

countant before being
processed. Area groups which
have used Kwik Tax include
several Village Green apart-

A full-service tax and
accounting firm, Kwik Tax

ow you can use your Jew-
ish Community Center
membership card for dis-
counts at several area
businesses.
A dozen businesses — in-
cluding restaurants, a cellular
phone company, a hotel and a
jewelry store — have joined the
JCC's Affinity bonus program
that provides discounts for the
11,000 JCC members.
The program, launched a
year ago, came from the mar-
keting/membership committee
chaired by Larry Wolfe and Jer-
ry Kaufman.
Interest in Affinity, says JCC
marketing coordinator Barbara
Logan, is growing. And JCC of-
ficials expect more businesses

to sign up soon for the plan.
Affinity costs $500, which en-
titles each participating busi-
ness to three ads a year in
"Centerline," the JCC newslet-
ter. In addition, businesses are
listed in every issue of the pub-
lication and on posters at the
West Bloomfield and Oak Park
JCC facilities.
"Jewish Community Center
members are important to our
business, and giving them
something extra keeps them
coming back, which helps our
business grow," says Steven
Tapper, of Tapper's Jewelry.
There are no coupons for this
program. Members need only to
show their cards to obtain dis-
counts. ❑
