Harriett Fuller and Margery Krevsky, of Productions Plus in Birmingham, have been busy for months prepping models — the human kind — for their role in the show. The staff of Productions Plus has spent hundreds of hours auditioning, dressing, fitting, scripting, rehearsing and coor- dinating the details involved in readying the models for their work. This year, the company scored a coup when it snapped up the Toyota Motor Corp. ac- count, the largest of the auto show accounts. Productions Plus added another feather to its cap by also landing the Suzuki account. That means the company will provide nar- rators and/or product special- ists to tout Toyota and Suzuki products at auto shows throughout the nation. "We were very happy to learn that we were the agency of choice," said Margery Krevsky. "We are very excited about working with Toyota and Suzuki and look forward to a long and mutually rewarding relationship with both compa- nies." Az A DIVISION OF THE MEADE GROUP M-59 (Hall Rd.) Ms. Krevsky said she and Ms. Fuller spend each Tuesday seeing 200-300 potential mod- els in their office to select the core of seasoned narrators that will be presented to clients at auditions. Once the clients have chosen their narrators, Ms. Fuller be- gins the wardrobing process. She does most of the buying in New York City and, according to Ms. Fuller, décolleté and glit- tering gowns are now passé. Narrators today are more like- ly to be outfitted in attractive suits or jackets and slacks. Ms. Fuller says that the average wardrobe can cost a manufac- turer up to $2,000. Ms. Fuller, who was one of Detroit's top fashion models be- fore retiring from the business, teamed with Ms. Krevsky, an executive in fashion and retail management, in 1983 to launch Productions Plus. The women met when Ms. Krevsky was in New York as a buyer for Alvin's. Over a week of lunch- es, the two discussed the idea of starting their own modeling agency. Initially, Productions Plus fo- cused on doing fashion shows for the area malls, but soon it went after the auto show work. Today, the auto show consti- tutes the largest share of the company's business. ❑
